About me:

My name is Dietmar, I was born in 1962 and am now living and working in Munich / Bavaria / Germany. I like almost all kinds of culture:
- art ( paintings, sculpture, ...)
- music ( from classics to rock, from pop to jazz ),
- books ( literature, entertainment and of course artbooks , ...)
- movies ( european and asian arthouse, american independent, ...)

*****************************************************************
And of course I like postcrossing.com
*****************************************************************
Although I ticked 'no swaps', I'm interested in swaps with cards of chinese/japanese/arabic calligraphy or art in general.
*****************************************************************

So as you can see from the above I prefer art-cards, handwritten and with real stamps on it.

If you dare you can paint/photograph an art/photo-card by yourself and contribute to my little postcrossing art gallery.

But all other kinds of cards will be gladly accepted too. ( I know that not in every region art cards are available. )

Duplicate cards: that can happen, but each card is unique by its written side! You must not look through the 1000s cards I received!

Ad cards: are ok if they are well designed!

Folded cards in envelope: you better send to someone who likes them.

From the postcrossing rules: You should never register a Postcard ID of a postcard you have not received.

Happy postcrossing !

About the Karl Valentin-stamp:
Karl Valentin was a Munich playwriter, musician, actor, director and one of the first to collect postcards.
He was a pioneer in filmmaking in the silent era. His collaboration with author Bertold Brecht is a classic surreal art movie. In the Third Reich he was forbidden to work. After the second World War he died poor and desparate in 1948 of pneumonia.
Later his reputation grew and grew and nowadays he is one of the most popular bavarian artists.
When in Munich please visit the Valentin-Karlstadt-Musäum.
