Hej Postcrossers!

My name is Melina and I am a student (becoming a primary school teacher) from Germany.

I'm totally into music (primarily but non-exclusive Alternative Rock) meaning that I listen to it whenever it is possible, I learn to play the piano, write my own lyrics and enjoy festivals and gigs.
Another important thing in my life is horse riding. I am not into professional show riding. Instead I prefer to ride out and enjoy nature. I have veneration for natural horsemanship. At the moment I do not possess an own horse but I am pretty sure I will later!
My third passion is traveling. I like to get to know new places and people from different countries. That is why I prefer to stay in hostels. Wherever it is possible I buy a Hard Rock Cafe shirt, so I already have a big collection.
Apart from English and German I speak some Swedish (I am trying to learn it but I do not know that much yet) and in school I learned French (unfortunately I forgot a lot but I still know the important basics) and some Latin (I forgot all but I am pretty sure no one is going to write a postcard in Latin. :D) Basically I am very interested in foreign languages meaning its origins and transformations, language families, phonology and phonetics in general.

If possible I would like to receive postcards that belong to the following topics. But do not worry if it is not possible, I am happy about each and every other card I will get.
- modern music (quotes, photos of artists/bands/instruments/crowds/fans/stages/..., something about festivals or gigs)
- anything according to subcultures, Indiestyle, Hippies
- places, nature, sights, maps, flags from your city/country
- snowy landscapes
- self made cards
- sports (especially winter sports or something according to the Olympics)

It would be nice if you could add some words in your native language.
I also have an open mind for music and artist recommendations. Tell me the name of your favourite artist or song so that I can check it out. Basically you can tell me anything about music. Maybe you play an instrument or you saw a fantastic concert, etc.
Or tell me how the weather is at your place these days, something about your last journeys or countries/cities you've already visited, or of course something about the place where you live (maybe I am gonna visit this place someday),...
