Hi everybody! I am Merijn I am from the Netherlands and I am 22 years old. I am a student child psychology and on this moment I am in the last year of this study. I live in Doetinchem. I have a big sister, a little sister and a little brother. In my free time I really like to different sports for example volleyball and running. On this moment I am buzzy training for the marathon in Amsterdam.
What I also very like to do in my free time is cooking! I love to create a special dish for family and friends. What I like to cook most are dishes from other countries. Last year I decided to combine my to passions, cooking & children. I got the idea to teach children how to cook and began to set up my own little 'cooking company'. The name of this company is cook & koek (this means cookie in Dutch). One of my courses in cooking is called a culinary trip around the world. This course exists of fife lessons. The theme of every lesson is a specific country. I teach the children how to cook a culinary specialty of that country during the lesson. I also try to give the children some information about the eating habits of that country during the lessons.
This is why I would very like to hear something about the eating habits and culinary specialties of your country. I would like it very much to hear what your favorite dish from your country is and it would be fantastic if you could send my the recipe of that dish! And I find it interesting to know how you say 'enjoy your meal' in your language. In the Netherlands we say eet smakelijk!
Maybe I can use your recipe and information in my cooking lessons!
