Hello, Bonjour, Marhaba!! My name is Melanie and I'm from the east coast of Canada. I have collected postcards for many years and have lost count of how many I have.

My six year old son enjoys all the unique stamps from around the world. I've joined Postcrossing with him and he is looking forward to the experience. Feel free to write in your native language, it will be fun trying to get it translated!!

We would like to receive the following postcards if possible:
landscapes
cityscapes
architecture
maps
flags
beach scenes
historic landmarks
animal cards - only if the animal is unique like a giraffe, elephant, kangaroo, penguin etc.
pretty much all tourist type of postcards

We don't like:
ad cards
homemade cards
recipe cards
photography cards

We prefer tourist cards or cards from your area that show something about your country. I am trying to teach my son Geography from this experience. We do enjoy art postcards but please give us the artists name so we can read about them online.

All cards in my favourites list are ones we would like to receive or examples of cards we like.

My avatar is a picture my husband took on June 17th, 2012 at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. It is about 65km from our house and a very beautiful place to visit. I have access to many different postcards showing this area and it has been a very popular postcard request over the years.

I will do private swaps and will take postcard requests (you may be looking for a lighthouse postcard or one specifically from somewhere close to me). I have access to UNESCO site postcards from Lunenburg Nova Scotia, L'anse aux Meadows Newfoundland, Gros Morne Park in Newfoundland, Joggins Fossil Cliffs Nova Scotia and our newest UNESCO site Grand Pre Nova Scotia.
