слава Україні! Please think about donating at u24.gov.ua #NAFOExpansionIsNonNegotiable.
I am currently trying to learn Ukrainian, so if you speak it, please write in it (printing, not cursive!) and let me try to decipher it.
I just finished an MA in history, focusing on commemoration of WW1 military dead. I am still working as an archivist and records manager for a university. My academic background is in history and library science, but I'm also interested in biology and genetics.
Born in Treaty 2 territory, raised in Treaty 1 territory and the traditional homeland of the Metis Nation, lived in Treaty 6 (1796), the Ratified Indian Treaty 96 (Quapaw/O-ga-xpa), and the traditional and ancestral territory of the Chitimacha Indian Tribe, among others, lived in Treaty 5 territory. Currently living in the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum area, on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek (Ah-nish-in-a-bek), Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-no-show-nee), Lūnaapéewak (Len-ahpay- wuk) and Chonnonton (Chun-ongk-ton) Nations.
I prefer any cards except ad-cards.
I like historic areas and monuments and cool nature shots.
I'm very interested in WW2 and WW1, so cards of military monuments, etc. would be great! I also love watching Star Trek (especially DS9 and Enterprise), M*A*S*H, West Wing, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Stargate (especially Atlantis), and WW2 movies.
I enjoy reading, especially military history and some science fiction/fantasy--Anne McCaffrey, Harry Turtledove, G.R.R. Martin, Robert Jordan and J.R.R. Tolkien are among my favourites. I also enjoy cross-stitching and Toastmasters.
I also like animals, especially baby ones. I had a big black cat at home, rescued from a shelter. Unfortunately he was put to sleep on March 29, 2018. I'm a huge fan of animal shelters/rescues.
I've visited the United States, France and Belgium. I lived in the US for 6 years, in Arkansas and Louisiana. I'd love to travel more, but until I win the lottery I'll have to do it through postcards!
I'm sorry, but I don't register cards that I haven't gotten..
I have horrendous handwriting. I do try to make all my cards legible, but I don't always succeed. I've tried and tried to improve it. Maybe I should have been a doctor instead?
2021 Worldwide discovery: Doctors have bad handwriting everywhere, and people think that it’s cause of all the notes they have to take in medical school.
