Hi/Servus! I'm Mary, I'm 33, and I'm originally from the north of Scotland but have been living in the south of Germany for the last ten years. I live here with my husband and one-year-old daughter in Ingolstadt, an industrial town with a pretty, historic centre.

I work as a copy editor and copywriter for a company that manufactures vacuum pumps and spend most of my day learning about processes where they’re used (and then writing about them!). Since I’ve made it my job, you can guess I love the written word - which also extends to messages on postcards :).

I love coffee, knitting, cake, dogs, and dancing around the house when no-one else is home.

Postcards that make me really happy are:
- anything to do with knitting and/or sheep or llamas
- scenery from your home town/country
- interesting photography
- interesting artwork
- anything with a giraffe
- homemade cards
... but I am open to anything. A postcard in my mailbox makes me happy whatever it is :). If you have a really strange postcard in your collection that doesn't seem to match *anyone's* likes, I'd love to receive it!

I speak fluent German and English but can understand French and Dutch to a reasonable standard as well.
