Hello everyone,

I learned about postcrossing from the stamp collectors' magazine. I love stamps and getting real mail (I even was a mail(wo)man for a while when I was a student) so surprise me!

I like nature very much (scenery, plants, birds, mammals, including our own two cats), playing computer games (bubbles, sudokus and other -slow- brain training games), reading fantasy and watching detectives (especially the British series). And of course I love my husband and wonderful big daughter (17 already).

We live in the 5th largest city of the Netherlands, but just at the edge of town, and there is plenty of green all around us. I have had several jobs, in linguistics and phonetics, teaching English, the tax office, homework supervision and of course being a mother. At the moment I am thinking about yet another career. But I am also a bit lazy sometimes and do nothing at all, despite the deplorable state of our garden...
