My name is Marianne, 41 yrs old and I live in Zuidlaren, a town up in the north of the Netherlands. I work as a nurse in a hospital. My specialism is taking care of patients with lungdiseases.

In my sparetime I play trumpet and I play in a bigband.
I live together with my husband (he's also a trumpetter) and my dear old cat Freek.

Every week I play boardgames with friends. We started a community in our town to play games together. It has grown to a steady community with approx 45 people. I really enjoy hiking, especially in the mountains and enjoying nature, watch animals, birds, grow my own vegatables & plants and travel. I lost my heart to the National parks of the USA since I've been there the first time in 2004. The power of nature out there is overwhelming! I've visited a little much countries 'far away' and now I would like to see more of Europe. I'm fond of gemstones and often I carry a stone with me, it feels they support me and help to carry life.

- I collect cards from Ila illustrations, love them!
- National parks of the USA, Canada
- Other national parks or reserves anywhere in the world, big trees, forest
- Any kind of birds
- Cards with the (full) moon, stars, Aurora Borealis
- Dice, meeples and everything that has to do with boardgames
