About Andrew...

We are a couple living in Berlin in one of the most central and hip neighborhoods, Kreuzberg.

Mylène is French - or more specifically Alsacian - from the east of France. She has done a lot of traveling and is always interested in what is going on in other parts of the world. Through the organization PLAN in Germany she has sponsored a child living in Bolivia.

Andrew is American and one of his passions is learning about different parts of the world (hence the postcrossing bit). He's done a fair amount of traveling, most recently by way of couchsurfing.

He has lived in:
New Mexico/Colorado, United States - grew up
France - got a masters in engineering there
Madagascar - lived and worked on forest conservation there for a year
Germany - currently working as an engineer

She has lived in:
France - Grew up in Alsace, studied in paris
Germany - Got her engineering degree there
China - studied Chinese for a couple months in the country
USA - Had an internship for a couple months in Texas

Andrew has done a couple of long-distance (>2000km) bike trips and have plans to do some more. I've done Paris -> Zadar and Berlin -> Odessa. So yeah, he kinda likes bikes and biking as well as running, jumping, climbing, swimming...pretty much any sport that isn't heavy on hand-eye coordination.
Mylène loves the outdoors. She was on the university rowing team and has done several multi-day hikes in places like Colorado, Bolivia, and England. She also loves swimming in lakes in and around Berlin.

Currently, Mylène works as an engineer by day but she loves dancing Tango, and she is currently studying to become a teacher of French as a foreign language. Look for her soon in a country near you!

Andrew loves playing music and listening to live music - I have a funk/hip-hop band and have played clarinet and piano in a variety of groups from orchestras to rock bands to jazz combos to reggae groups.

We love Postcards, postcards, postcards! Any kind, type, size, shape will do!
Oh and if you write to us maybe a sentence in your native language (and translate it) we would love to see!
