About Josh...

I live in Little Current on Manitoulin Island in Northern Ontario, Canada. The island is the largest island in a freshwater lake in the world, and sit between Lake Huron and the Georgian Bay. Also, this region is known for the many lakes. Although the winters are long, many of the residents embrace the winter season by going ice fishing or taking part in ice hockey (Winnipeg Jets are my favourite team). My avatar is me hugging a Canada Post box in Sudbury, which is the nearest larger city (2 hours drive away). Here is a wonderful video overview of Manitoulin Island - https://youtu.be/_4ivaOzlosQ

I enjoy collecting books, postcards, and stamps from all over the world. I also hold a passion for science, technology, and nature in which I consume books heavily on these subjects (as well as Sci-fi and travel books). In addition to my love of postcards/traveling, I love books and often can't pass a bookshop or a library in my travels. One of my favourite things to do when traveling is to go into a library and browse the books on the shelf even if I can't understand the language. I feel that books give me a connection into the locals lives. If you have library or book related postcards, I love those as well. Also, I love to drink tea, and am always buying new tea to add to my kitchen. :)

My passion are traveling, hiking, and camping. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to Hong Kong/Macau, and Japan in Asia along with Germany, Ireland, and the UK in Europe in addition to many many places within North America and the Caribbean.

I would like unique or tourist postcards from your area, or transportation related (i.e. planes, ships, trains, buses, etc.), and if possible some interesting postage stamps on the postcards (but I like all kinds of postcards). Lastly, if it is possible, please don't use envelope, I like to receive postcards with stamps on them and postmarks. :)

Happy Postcrossing!!!
