Hi everyone!

My name is Fernando and I'm from Espinho, Portugal.
Currently living in Porto where I worked and getting ready to move to Lisbon where I'm starting my PhD in Physics Engineering.

I enjoy reading (although I don't read as much as I should) pretty much everything (Luís Sepúlveda, J.R.R. Tolkien, Isaac Azimov, Miguel Torga), but fiction is a way into my heart. Currently I'm reading "The fifth head of Cerberus", by Gene Wolf and starting on Umberto Eco's "The mysterious flame of Queen Loana".
As far as music goes, nothing can go wrong with some blues in the mix. But every nice tune gets a shot: pop, rock, indie, jazz, folk...there is always room for a good music. A basic playlist? Rory Gallagher, Howling Wolf, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Diabo na Cruz, Rui Veloso, Queen, Robert Johnson, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin.

I was a swimmer in my younger days and was part of a rap band (yes i said it and i'm not ashamed :P). In these days I practice Aikido, I'm a self-taught guitar player (or I try to be) and have returned to the swimming pool, just because I have a lot of time on my hands.
Oh, and food. I love food. Eat it, cook it, buy it, see it, learn about it. Food is great :P

I have absolutely no experience with postcrossing, but since my girlfriend is having a wonderful time with it...why not give it a try? :)
