About Marina...

Dear friends, my little daughter always checks our mailbox with me, so please DO NOT send cards depicting nudity, eroticism, cigarettes, alcohol, etc. Thank you for understanding!

Hello everyone!
My name is Marina. I originally come from Siberia - the coldest but the most beautiful part of Russia! I've been living in Turkey with my family for years already.

I'd be happy to receive postcards from all over the world! I like foreign languages and intercultural communication. I can't imagine my life without books! If you are crazy about literature too please share with me your favourite writers and books or tell me what you are reading now. It will be interesting to learn out what people from different countries read!

If you are a teacher I'd love to know what you think about your profession. Do you like it or not? What do you find the most enjoyable/boring/exciting/difficult in teaching? What do you teach? Why did you decide to become a teacher? Is it prestigious to be a teacher in your country?

You can also tell me what your biggest dream is or what you wanted to become as a child. For example, I was dreaming of being a painter)))
I also wonder about food traditions. You can describe a typical breakfast of you country or tell me what you personally prefer to have for breakfast.

My wishlist:
-New Year and Christmas cards in December/January;
-Easter cards in spring (Orthodox Church calendar);
-I'm a teacher so all teaching/school/education related postcards will be especially happily welcomed;
-Oriental culture and literature;
-mosques, Islamic architecture;
-folklore, mythology, legends;
-national clothing, prints, crafts, flags, symbols, traditional toys;
-national cuisine, traditional dishes, delicious meal, breakfast table;
-piony, geranium, succulents, pot plants;
-gardening;
-hedgehogs;
-birds;
-Turkic peoples, Turkic languages;
-musical instruments, note sheets;
-books, book covers, book illustrations;
-poetry;
-portraits of writers, poets and composers;
-reproductions of the world's famous paintings;
-birthday cards in July.

If you have no cards from my wish list or don't know what to write you can send me any blank postcard you have. Please write my address and your postcard ID on the envelope then.

No ad, multi-view, black and white or hand-made cards, please! Thank you :)

I love tea very much so if it's not very expensive to you I will be happy to receive some teabags from your country.
I'm looking forward to your cards!:)

Happy postcrossing!

P.S. If you want your postcards to be depicted, please scan them before you send them to me. I don't have a scanner for the time.
