My name is Lydia and I'm from Hong Kong.

I majored in linguistics and all languages are fascinating in my eyes, so I'd love it if you can write something in your mother tongue (and explain what it means if possible), or tell me an idiom / some interesting sayings in your country.
[for example, "你好" is "Hello" in Chinese, and "多謝" means "Thank you" in Cantonese...]

I love travelling and reading; so maybe you can tell me about your city, your country or your favourite author?

- what are the must-see sights in your city/country? Any scenery, architecture or place that you particularly like?
- what local food would you recommend me to try?
- is there any special festivals? What are the traditional craft or clothing?
- how's the weather?
- what are the misconceptions some people have about your city/country/people/culture?
- what languages or dialects are commonly used in your country/city? Do you like them?

I also enjoy crafting(mostly rubberstamp-carving and calligraphy), so handmade elements would be appreciated! ^^
