About Lydia...

I’m 40 something, sharing my home with my boyfriend and chocolate-brown Labrador in a small town near the North Sea Coast. I like to read, cook, trivia-games, the internet, watch movies and television. I love to watch series like Grey’s anatomy, Medium, Vampire dairies and detectives like CSI, Bones, Cold Case etc. but also following the news and interesting documentaries about animals or (ancient) culture.

I’ll enjoy every postcard people sent me except for the free/ad cards. My credo is: sent me a card you like to receive yourself. Speaking for myself I sometimes find it difficult to choose a postcard when a profile is left blank and I’m always glad when people write down some suggestions. So here are my suggestions in none specifiek order:

* Nature (waterfalls, mountain views, aurora borealis and australis or just a beautiful landscape.)
* Native (wild) animals.
* Predatory birds (owls, hawks, eagles etc.)
* Whales and dolphins.
* Native Americans, I love the romantic painted images like my avatar.
* Fantasy (elves, angels, unicorns, dwarfs, witches, dragons etc.)
* Children book illustrations from your country (no Disney please)
* Cards related to legends or myths from your region or country
* US state maps
* Buddha’s, Asian temples, Japanese gardens or beautiful castles
* Inge Löök’s two old ladies
* Traditional clothing
* Comic cards with funny text (please translate in English or German)

I will appreciate it if you sent me a birthday card in June and also like Christmas cards in December. Languages other than English or German, please translate.

Although I can understand it if your English isn’t that good I hope you will write some lines on your postcard and not just Happy Postcrossing.

For example you can write me about:

- how was your day or what are your plans for today
- what did you dream last night
- just a nice quote
- what’s the talk of the day in your country
- your favourite recipe
- recommend me a book or movie
- share with me the place you like to go and why
- tell me a secret or something you’re scared of, I won’t tell anyone else!!! ;)

Thanks for reading my profile and I’m looking forward receiving your postcard.

NOTE: I have 3 accounts, will you please write the number 4, 5 or 6 behind my name in the address you were given so I can register it at the right account.
