About Vasilisa...

I can speak english.
Я говорю по-русски.
Ich kann Deutsche Sprache sprechen.

>Hello, dear postcrossers. I'm slowly starting to lose interest in this hobby, so I will only send postcards when I have inspiration or desire. This way I will not send the same type of texts and banal design. Thank you all for your understanding, be healthy.<

My name is Vasilisa, or Vassa, I live in Irkutsk. This is a town located in Siberia, near Lake Baikal. On my avatar you see a white wagtail, whose name was Gray. He was my pet, but after a long winter I let him go into the forest and into the wild. I wonder if he's alive?

I really love trees and birds. The forest is my place of peace. For two years I was a volunteer at the Baikalskaya bird ringing station, and my love grew into something more than just enjoying nature. I can't live without going into the forest. Birds are my favorite animals. I study them, watch them, read about them, watch videos... My favorite bird species are the barn owl (tyto alba), the black-headed goldfinch (carduelis carduelis) and the white wagtail (motacilla alba).

I am a music lover, I listen to different kinds of music. In my dreams I hope to one day play the drums. I started as a child, but alas, it didn’t work out. Now I have a guitar, but I haven’t gotten around to playing it yet. My favorite genres are metal and pop, but as I noted above, I listen to almost everything.

I study languages. I seem to have a talent for learning them and each language comes easily to me. Now I know only 3 well - Russian (my native), English and German. But I also know a little Japanese, Ukrainian, French and others.

I will be glad to receive any postcard from you. Just one thing - be creative, please. I don't like the same type of sentences like "Hello from there. Good luck." or postcards with ordinary photographs of your city. Thanks for understanding.

You can send postcards in any form - in an envelope, with advertising/clippings/other interesting things/stickers, with an unusual design, handmade ones. Write whatever you want. What is your favorite book, or music, or game, or movie, and so on. I do postcrossing for the sake of communicating with the outside world, not for grandiose postcards. Minimalism and simplicity are welcome.
