Hello everybody! :)

My name is Liza, I’m 19 years old and I’m from Latvia, of Russian origin. I study French philology in the University of Latvia.

I discovered postcrossing thanks to my friend and I found it great! I collect postcards, I love sending and receiving thing by post and adore making friends throughout the world. I regret that I didn’t hear about the postcrossing before.

I have a lot of interests. I will tell you about the main ones:

1) FRANCE. I have been learning French for 6 years and it is the love of my life. I love this country and the language.
2) WORLD MUSIC. I am a very big music lover.
3) LANGUAGES. I speak Russian, Latvian, French, English and Spanish. I also have started to learn Serbian recently.
4) TRAVELING. The countries I have visited till now are Russia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Netherlands, Great Britain, Turkey, Greece, Egypt, China.
5) THE BALKANS, especially ex-Yugoslavia. I love this region, the wonderful nature, nice and beautiful people who live there and Slavic languages they speak.
6) LIGHTHOUSES. I collect everything connected with lighthouses and sea navigation.
7) READING. I prefer the classic literature.
8) FOOTBALL. I’m a big fan of FC Barcelona and the Spain National football team.
