I'm British but have been living in France since 1992. I've been living in Montpellier (in the south, about 3 hours from Barcelona, 2 hours from Marseille) since 1999. I live with my partner and my younger daughter (now aged 12), and two cats. I work as a freelance medical and technical translator and part-time English teacher at the local universities.
I enjoy reading, writing, going to the cinema, doing handicrafts, dancing and travelling.
I like a wide range of music - from classical to New Wave to 1980s to modern - and literary/cinematic styles.
In the future, I would like to see more of the world - more of the US than NYC (which I loved), more of Europe and places outside of both (Vietnam, Argentina...).
I will be utterly delighted to receive any postcards at all, and would love it if the card had some kind of message on it from the person sending it. I love Art nouveau and Art déco, I also very much like geographical cards, funny cards (I'm not really a fan of "saucy" or "risqué" cards, but I'm not easily shocked so it wouldn't really be a problem), cinema cards... just about anything, in fact!
