About Katya...

Hi everyone!

My name is Katya. My home city is Donetsk, city of mines and roses, but now I live in beautiful Kyiv. I just love travelling, visiting interesting places and meeting new people. And of course I like nice surprises:) In my opinion postcrossing is a great opportunity to “see” the world, to learn more about other countries and people, so every received and sent postcard will become a little adventure:)

Empty mailbox is very boring, but when you open it and see a postcard from another corner of our planet, it gives the feeling of your private little holiday. I’m not picky and most of received cards will make me happy, but please avoid sending AD cards, vulgar, of bad quality, old cards with faded images/bad quality and the ones you also wouldn't like to receive yourself.

If you doubt what card to choose here are some ideas:

* Cats
* Funny or cute animals
* Children's illustrations, Cartoons
* Fantasy
* Disney
* The Moomins (Mumintroll)
* Harry Potter
* Teddy bears
* Jetoy/Camilla d'Errico/Correspondances/Blue Art/Gorjuss and similar to them
* With illustrations of Evgeniya Gapchinska, Katya Dudnik, Lena Gnedkova, Nastya Kamentsova etc.
* Cards with landscapes and remarkable places of your country (mention what it is, if possible)
* National costumes/traditional clothing
* Greetings from...
* Panoramic/night city views
* Architecture, street sculptures, caffees, old city buildings/bridges
* Nature views (sea, mountains, plants, fields etc.)
* Sea/ocean views/lighthouses
* Maps
* Multiviews
* Maximum cards
* Vintage
* Pin up
* Books
* Atelier nouvelles images postcards
* Drinks/food
* Recipes

I don’t mind you sending me a postcard in an envelope, but still please write something on the backside of the card. It can be some interesting/funny/crazy thing about you, your favourite quote, poem; you can write name of the song/movie you like the most and explain why it became your favourite. Also you can mention some interesting fact about the country/city you live in. Or just write why you have chosen this card. It would be nice if you write something in your native language (with translation into English). Please date the card the day you mail it.

It would be awesome if by sending me a postcard in an envelope you could put a coin or some beautiful stamp from your country in it, while I collect these things (also I collect fridge magnets;))

If you send your return information I will certainly send a card in return.

I’m looking forward to your postcards:)

Happy postcrossing! :)
