About Katja...

Hello there all over the world.

My name is Katja, I'm 47 years old, I‘m married and we have two (mostly ;-) ) wonderful kids. My hobbies are reading, felting, gardening (means: working a LITTLE bit but often sitting on a bench with a cup of coffee or a glass of vine…) and geocaching (this is another worldwide community, you can look at www.geocaching.com if you want to know more about it).

I love to get mail, especially nowadays, when the e-mailbox on computer is often more than full but the real letterbox contains only accounts and advertising.

A first big smile comes on my face when I find your postcard in my letterbox. The smile is getting bigger when I find some words about you or your life to read on the postcard. And the biggest smile appears when it is a card with a picture that belongs to my wishlist.

I love to send cards as much as I do receiving them. I look at the recipient’s profile and try to pick the perfect card –I want to make you smile too!

This is my wishlist for postcards. Just to give you an idea of some of the things I like but anything you send will be greatly appreciated. The list is in no particular order:

*my favorite colors are blue and green
*NATURE, landscapes, sunrise/sunset, blue flowers, wild animals (small and big)
*everything with water: oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, underwater photos, beaches
*hamster (my daughter has a dwarf hamster calls Freddy)
*sunglasses on some nose
*panorama views of your city or place you live
*ruins or old castles
*hot air balloons or parachutists/skydiver (my husbands hobby)
*Harry Potter
*Hollywood and British cinema stars from the old films
*James Bond films
*Royal families or Presidents ( seriously or a little funny…)
*COLORFUL art cards
*flower fairies postcards of Cicely Mary Barker
*illustrations of Irina Zeniuk, Axel Scheffler, Sven Nordqvist or Kaj Stenvall. I’m looking for postcards of the “DDR-Sandmännchen”, but I fear that it is not known outside of Germany.
*funny cards (Muppets, Snoopy and Charlie Brown, Shaun the Sheep for example)
*Johnny Depp
*The Beatles
Or let me be surprised about a handmade card…or a funny postcard that makes me only giggle.
I am impatient to find your postcard in my letterbox.
