I am a woman of middle years and semi-retired teacher of English literacy. My students include children who are behind at school, children with behaviour problems and children who speak English as a second language. I really enjoy learning about other places and cultures and over the years have traveled to many places, most recently to Christmas and Cocos Islands. These tiny islands in the Indian Ocean, are actually closer to Indonesia than Australia but are Australian territory (kind of, double the isolation). Perth, my home city, is on the West coast of Australia - the side of our beautiful country that most people know less about! I was born and raised in New South Wales so have a two-sided perspective! My siblings and their extended families still live on the eastern side in the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and New South Wales, so we really are spread out across the country!
I have three adult children who all live away from home and two Grandees who keeps me busy and entertained.
I love 'not your average postcard' but just to get some happy mail in the box is enough joy! It is time to live light upon the Earth! Be the joy!
