Hi, I am Jans,

I am 65 years old, I am married and I have 3 children, they all live on their own, and I am a grandmother of a wonderful little boy called Doke! I live in a beautiful place, it's a very 'old' but friendly house. It's located in the very north of Friesland, a province in the upper north of the Netherlands. I like reading books, when I am busy short stories from magazines. I'm feeling the urge to read something every day and I like to spend time in the garden as much as possible when the weather is good. I also like to go to the cinema,and watch a lot of movies at home, Sound of Music and Pride and prejudice are 2 of my faves!! (If you have any good book or movie tips, related to pshychology or drama, let me know!)

Fave for me is to collect cards, for many years, even before I was on postcrossing, have a great collection. I found them all in secondhand stores, treasures!!

My favorite singer is Josh Groban, but it's just one on my list of great singers and musicians. I also like to look for old or antique things in second hand stores, like books, furniture, paintings and so on. Find something old beautifull really make my day perfect! And always I find cards, nice for postcrossing!!

Being outside is important for me, walking or biking, it is good for my body and mind in this busy world.

It makes me smile when I see little children playing with each other in- or outside their homes, or when young people have fun with their friends and when they are satisfied about the life they live! I also like to watch every kind of animal when I am walking or cycling on my way home, it sometimes really touches me.

I hope and wish that people continue communicating with each other, and take care for each other! In this time, with computers and mobile phones it's important to talk with eachother about many things that matter in Life ! And for me it is also very important to look after other people, take care for them, especially 'older' people. They sometimes are lonely but they have a great history and we can learn a lot from them! I
But the most important thing for me is: ENJOY LIFE ! there are so many little things, every day again, that make me feel youful !!

- old houses with stone walls
- bycicles
- old advertising
- wild gardens
- stone fountains
- stone statues in churches
- old doors
- cactus
- from the movie Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightley and Mathew
Macfadyen)
- the movie the Sound of Music (with Julie Andrews and Christopher
Plummer)
- Winnie the Pooh
- hedgehogs
- with coffee or tea

Please, no cityvieuws or important buildings from city's, and no TEXT on the front of the card, many thanks !

Every day is a suprise for me when the postman arrived !!
