About Iryna...

Hi, I'm Ira :)

I'm from Ukraine, from Kharkiv. Now my home city (like a lot of other Ukrainian cities) is under constant russian shelling. We are fighting for democracy and freedom and will never give up.

I'm a mathematician and it's already been a year since I started working in game development (Gameloft). Because of my mathematical studies, I spent one year in Italy (L'Aquila) and one year in France (Marseille). I learn German and Italian from time to time. And I hope to learn French but it seems so difficult for me. So if Italian, German or French is your native language don't be afraid to write in it :)

I'm a volunteer, I help the Ukrainian army and help Ukrainian kids to study maths, not all kinds can study in a normal way because of war and russian existence nearby.

I enjoy travelling (I visited Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Greece, Scotland, England, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and France) and when I have the opportunity I buy tickets and go to a new city or country or to visit my friends. Unfortunately, it's difficult now but I hope that we'll be able to travel in the nearest future.

I enjoy cooking, painting, dancing, knitting and reading (I'm a great fan of Ukrainian authors, I love Harry Potter books and books by J.R.R Tolkien). By the way, in Italy, I started to dance salsa and bachata and I'm just in love with these styles. Also, I'm interested in architecture, music, traditions of different countries, needlework and Disney movies. I'm a big fan of The Big Bang Theory and Friends :)

I would be very happy to receive a postcard "Greetings from... ". I already have from Germany, France, Taiwan and Spain.

And I would be pleased if you send me one of the following cards
- with a beautiful view of your country/city, the most typical things for your country, the flag of your country
- castles/palaces
- ornaments and patterns
- flowers (My favourites are a peony, lavender and lilac)
- quotes and sayings
- CHRISTMAS cards
- Happy B-Day cards in February
- Disney, Dreamworks and other movies
- macro photos (but not insects, I don't like them)
- landscapes
- maths
- painting reproductions
- Harry Potter postcards
- beautiful calligraphy letters, words, ink drawing
or just something nice :)

If you don't know what to write, tell me please smth interesting about your country or city (for example smth, that you can not find in the guide), about your favourite place (park, cafe,...) or about your day. You can write your favourite quote or some words in your language (with translation, please).

And a small request: please write the date and weather.

If you would like to see which postcards I've received from your country, look here:
