I'm Maureen, 45 and born and bred in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, the city where I still live. I'm a former copywriter, translator and journalist.

My hobbies are: reading, writing and receiving letters, writing stories and poetry, computers, polymer clay , ceramics, cross stitching, crocheting, Window Color (window/glass painting), beading (jewellery, weaving, animals and other objects), drawing, studying, music, etc.

I really like postcards that show pictures of your country, as well as postcards that inspire me for one of my hobbies. I love Forever Friends and Disney (in particular Dopey, Bambi, Dumbo, Wall-E). I love giant pandas, otters and koalas, but I enjoy any postcard I receive. I always very carefully pick cards for people, so I'll be pleased to know why you picked that particular card for me, because that tells me something about you.

I always register cards on the day that they are delivered to me, so that the person that sent me the card gets a free slot to send somebody else a card again.

Please make sure the address you put on Postcrossing is correct, it's no fun having to wait for 60 days for a card to expire because somebody had you send it to the wrong address so that it will never arrive.
