Hi,
I am an English ex-pat now living in The Netherlands, with family scattered across the world! I am a writer, poet, artist, psychology graduate and mother.

I left England two years ago to start a new life in The Netherlands, adapting to a new culture, lifestyle (and language!!) has been difficult at times, but fascinating and enjoyable; living on the border with Belgium, I have had the opportunity to explore two countries and cultures and although they share a border and a language, the Dutch and Belgians couldn't be more different!

The Netherlands is a hidden gem, it is a beautiful and unspoilt country - I understand why the Dutch people keep it a secret from the rest of the world! The lifestyle here is relaxed, the people adore their King and country and respect their beautiful surroundings. I have no ambitions to return to the UK as I am now immersed in the cultures and lifestyle of the Dutch. I thoroughly recommend a visit to The Netherlands when touring Europe, the country is so much more than the infamous tourist hotspot that is Amsterdam!

I am fascinated by new people, places, cultures and religions. Life is about living and learning and with so many different people and places to explore, I am happy to remain a global student for the rest of my life! I look forward to hearing from and writing to you, whoever and wherever you are!
