Hello!

I'm Heli, 37 years old and live in Porvoo, Finland. I work as a science teacher, but at the moment I'm on maternity leave with my baby boy. I enjoy many kinds of sports, good books, comics, knitting and meeting my friends.

I have always had an interest in geography, languages and cultures. I enjoy travelling - whenever it's possible - but also reading about different cultures or watching travel programs on TV. I've had pen pals when I was younger, and when I heard about Postcrossing, I immediately knew that I had to give a try to it. I have just started, but feel that I'm alrerady a little bit addicted ;-)

All kinds of cards in my mailbox make my day! Especially I like cards, that are from your hometown or country (landscapes, city view, something with the culture, historic sights...). After I have received a card, I like to read more about the theme on the Internet. Other good alternatives are cards with animals (cats, wildlife, birds, bugs), beautiful landscapes, flowers, somethings science related, comics or other funny cards.
