Hello postcrossers,

I'm Heiko, fifty-something years old. I live in Hamburg together with my wife. I am a software developer and computer scientist.

I am looking forward to receiving any postcard, whatever you care to send me (well, except ad-cards, please). I would be particularly happy about cards showing the place where you live or something your home town is famous for. I also appreciate homemade cards. If you find they're good enough to send them abroad, I will be happy to get them.

Above all, I enjoy travelling. The countries I visited most often are Denmark and all parts of the UK, including the Channel Islands. For me, the most photogenic place in the world seems to be the Isle of Skye in Scotland - at least of all the places I have seen so far.

My special interests are photography and handball. I am a keen supporter of my local handball team. Also, I like watching snooker on TV, and I love Monty Python's.

I like listening to music, and I hardly ever leave my home without my iPod. Amongst my current favourites are for example John Hiatt, Malcolm Middleton, Ryan Adams (yes, Ryan, not Bryan) as well as Manu Katché, Chilly Gonzales and many others.
