Hello,
My name is Benjamin or Ben, I originally come from the Northeast of Germany (north of Berlin, former East Germany). Since 2014 I've been living in a small village in south-west Bavaria in Germany. I work at a local university of applied science in the administration and I like to send and receive (handwritten) postcards. I am married and have a cute and lovely five-year-old daughter.

Please write the date and some text on your postcard, the more the better. For me it's a pitty to receive a card, which has traveled across the world, but only has a few words like "Happy Postcrossing" on it. Also I don't like postcards with computer printed text on it. Please use your hands to write :o)

When I write postcards, I write as little as I can and write all kinds of stuff. You don't need to be that extreme, but be sure that I am at least as interested in what you write as I am in the card. If your native language is one of the languages I mentioned above, please write the entire card or at least part of it in your language. For other languages I would be interested to read a word or phrase in your language - of course with a translation of it.

If you don't know what to write about, here are some ideas:
- about yourself, who you are, where you live, what you do for a living
- about your card, what it's showing, where you got it from, why you like it etc.
- about your views on life as such and on current political or social issues
- about your views on or experiences with Germany
- about a book you've just read, a film you've just watched, a CD you've just listened to, a concert you've just been to, a place you've just visited
- about your hobbies, interests

Please send me postcards that you like, that you find beautiful and that you yourself would like to reeive. I have many interests but I am not a collector of postcards as such. I like weird, strange and funny cards, nature motives, art motives, special perspectives of whatever. But I also don't mind landscapes, cityscapes, faces, whatever you get into your hands.

More about me: I like learning foreign languages, at the moment I am trying to fresh up my Finnish. I do like traveling, though I have left my period of long distance travels behind me. There's so many beautiful places in Europe and in Germany and in Allgäu, the part of Germany, where I live.

I love biking, hiking etc. I am very much into climbing, but mostly in a climbing hall. I love gardening, we grow all kinds of vegetables and fruits - raspberries, apples, currant, red beets, potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots, beans, pumpkins etc. I am also into using "fruits" of nature outside my garden: fishes, mushrooms, rose hips, elder, wild herbs. I dry them, cook them, bake them, make jam out of them, whatever works.

I like music. I used to sing in a choir for many years, I listen to lots of different stuff from classical musik all the way up to punk and heavy metal. I do like to read, but I don't read a lot.
