I am a traveller, reader, nature lover, sportive person. Being a scientist and manager, I am used to work on remote nature sites, on reaserch vessels as well as in highly developes areas. I love travelling and diving into other cultures. Lived for a while on the Philippines and in California, USA. Except South America and Antarctica, I have been on all continents ... and I enjoyed most places.
My hometown today is Hannover in northern Germany, a modern city with 500.000 people... and a good place to have my home base. We have a football team in 2cnd divison ("Hannover 96") that I strongly support.

I am an active person, loved always to do sports. I practise Tango Argentino since some years, and yes, I really love it.
My greatest hobby is travelling, preferred in countries whose language I speak or at least understand. Being in a country without understanding what is going on around me (due to not understanding the language) drives me crazy. And I love being/travelling in deserts, in rough surroundings, in the harsh nature.
Reading is another hobby, mainly books, sometimes newspapers. And I love writing letters. Love to read/see handwritings from "real persons".

I enjoy life in all its aspects, heavy red wine, local food and culture. Music is my friend, even without playing an instrument by myself (unfortunately).

If you you plan to send me a postcard, please give me an idea what kind of person you are and where are you living. If you like, please send me a "motto, a characteristic sentence, a saying, poem or anything similar that describes you or your way of living or thinking in ONE sentence. If I am able to understand or extract out of this one sentence what kind of a person you are, or what are your main objectives or whatever makes you special, then I would be happy ... and then the idea of postcrossing would make sense to me.

And finally, it would be nice if you could put the temperature and date of when the card gets written.
