Hi all

I started Postcrossing when I was still a teenager, sending postcards from Bangkok, Thailand. The aim was to travel and get to know new people from new places.

I was on an almost-ten-year hiatus after moving to the States (New York) to pursue my masters degree and my career.

Now that my age is closer to 40 than 30, my priorities have changed and I am back to Postcrossing again.

Below is the write up I wrote before I went on hiatus. Apart from the location that I am in, it is relevant still.

I live in Bangkok, Thailand.

I am now working as an in-house counsel in Bangkok.

I am just admitted to Columbia Law School and I will be living in New York starting this Fall 2014.

I studied German in high school aber ich habe alles vergessen.

In 2004-2005, I joined an exchange student program. I was sent to Argentina for a year. Por eso mas o menos sé español.

After coming back, I waited tables for US$ 5 a day. I surprised the owner by speaking Spanish to Spanish customers.

I was a trainee at Bangkok Tourism Division. I gave information to tourists, mostly backpackers.

I like traveling. I travel almost every long weekends. I prefer cities where I can see people, museums, and try good local food. I am not a fan of ecotourism. I have visited Argentina (the whole country, I lived in Neuquen), Brasil (Iguazu), Hong Kong, Macau, China (Shanghai and Beijing - twice), Vietnam (Saigon), Laos (Vang Vieng), Malaysia (Penang - twice, Kuala Lumpur, and Melaka), Singapore (many times), Nepal (Kathmandu and Pokhara), and India (Kolkata) .

I like reading, watching movies, and listening to music. I do online classes on coursera.org. I watch TED talks regularly and I sometimes edit wikipedia articles too.

I just decided to start a postcard collection of "love." If you can send me anything related to that, it would be great.

An amazing thing I have done? -- I signed my will donating my body to a medical school.
