About Anni...

Hi! I'm Anni, a 21-year old Postcrosser originally from the small town of Kajaani, now living and studying in Helsinki, but spending the summer in Hamina, where I work as a cashier lady. It's a nice job, but I probably wouldn't want to do it for the rest of my life. My major in university is English translation. I have two dream jobs: a translator and a librarian - we'll see where life will take me :)

I like a lot of things, most of all music (my favourite band is the Scottish group Belle & Sebastian), concerts and festivals, British comedy, weird movies, Jem and the Holograms (and other fictional bands), Chuck Palahniuk's books, Star Wars, the Eurovision Song Contest, vegetarian cooking, people with a terrible taste of humour, politics and of course postcards!

Some of the cards I'd absolutely love to receive are:
- unusual and weird photography cards
- little details of cities, unique/artistic city views
- children's book illustrations
- Soviet Union themed imagery
- art cards, movie posters, cartoons
- holiday-related cards
- native people and/or costumes
- vintage
- colourful illustrations
- royalty and presidents (I've already got Queen Beatrix & Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, King Albert & Queen Paola of Belgium, & Barack Obama, + three cards of William and Kate, but since they are such a beautiful couple I wouldn't mind more :) )
- beautiful landscapes and buildings, or just basic tourist cards, multiview and single view are both fine.

But of course, feel free to be creative - I love to receive different sorts of postcards. :) If you have any really random and wonderful cards laying around, I'd be happy to receive them. PLEASE, NO ENVELOPES, or ad cards (unless they're super cool!).

The messages on the cards mean a lot to me, so please, write as much as you'd like (and as much as the card will allow). Something about yourself, your life in general, what you've done today, what inspires you, about your best friend, are you desperately in love, what did you have for lunch, your pets, music, movies, anything. Music recommendations are very welcome, especially if they are in a different language than English.

Currently, I'm studying Estonian, so if you know Estonian, please write your card in it so I can learn! :)

Happy postcrossing!
