Hello everyone,

My name is Ekaterina, but you may call me Kate, I think it's more convenient.
As I live in Russia, I love drinking vodka, playing balalaika, walking with bears and ratting my friends and relatives out to KGB... Just kidding :-) Russians are not like this (only some of us):-)

I am a teacher of English by profession, but I do not work within my speciality, I am a contract specialist at Orenburg airlines. Besides Russian and English I have a basic level of German, Italian and know some Chinese words and ideographs :-)
I love to explore different cultures, languages and traditions. I adore travelling (though I haven't visited a lot of countries yet, actually this summer I have been to Greece - my first foreign land visit, exept for visiting China at school). Visiting Spain, Italy, Prague and Norway is on the top of my list. As my father is a military man we used to move often: we lived in Ukrain, Georgia and such Russian towns as Chkalov, Smolensk, Biisk, Chita, now it's Orenburg.

I'm fond of reading, the list of my favourite books is huge. Some of my favourite authors are Charles Dickens, John Fowles, Iain Banks, Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
I like to listen to different music, among my favourite bands there is Nirvana, Poets of the Fall, Depeche Mode, A-Ha, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, Metallica, Zemfira.

To my mind the idea of exchanging postcards all over the world is lovely! As for me I will be happy to receive any card, but if you would like to send me something special, I can help you. I like:
- different languages and countries (please write me something about yourself in your native language, I'll try to translate);
- books;
- aircraft;
- worldwide famous and local sights;
- serials (actually, I am not only a bookworm, but also a serial nerd: Braking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Dc. House are my favourite);
- medicine;
- animals.
