About Ivita...

My name is Ivita. I spent my childhood in Kostroma, a small old town in central Russia. Then I graduated Moscow State University. Also I met my future husband in a university's choir.

Now me, my husband, our 6 y.o. daughter and a cat live in Pushkino. It's a suburban town with near 110 000 citizens in 20 km from Moscow and near Sergiev Posad (where the most important Russian monastery - the Trinity Lavra of St.Sergius - is). The center of Pushkino is rather new, but its outskirts are the places where at the turn of 19-20 centuries science and creative intellectuals had "dachas" (summer country houses). For example, poet Mayakovsky. Some old houses are still exist there and I like to go for a walk in such places of our town. Also the forest is in 5 minutes on foot from my home.

Many years cross stitching was my hobby, but in 2018 I started to create my own cross stitch patterns. My husband is mathematician.

I like travelling with my family. I was in England, Italy and Croatia. Also I visited many interesting places in Russia - old towns and nature sights. I would like to visit Norway, Kyrgyzstan, Baikal lake and Kamchatka. With my husband I was in 4 mountain hikes - in the Caucasus (2012), the Crimea (2013), the South Urals (2021) and the Khibiny (2022). I hope we'll also go to other mountains - the Altai and the Sayan Mountains, the Alps etc.

I like reading (Chekhov's "Ward No. 6" is my favorite), visiting theater and parks, drinking tea, riding bicycle.

My main dream is a peaceful world.

Both sides of the postcard are important for me. I love densely handwritten (if it's possible and not hard to you) postcards with real stamps. Please, no envelopes. If you speak German or French, please, write in these languages.

Here are some tips you could write to me about:
- your family and pets (their characters, interesting life episode)
- your profession and hobby (do you like your work? do you work by profession? what does your hobby give you?)
- some random facts about you
- funny or terrible episode from your trip
- describe a place where you live
- what did you do today
- how you deal with stress

All cards are welcome! Here are some themes that I collect:
- beautiful mountains of your country, hiking, tents and campfires
- national parks and reserves of your country
- cats at/near windows
- squirrels
- polar bears
- little birds, ducks, woodpeckers (photos or realistic drawings)
- literature (world famous writers, literary museums, libraries, smb reading a book)
- choirs and world famous composers
- embroidery and stitching, including folk (not knitting or sewing)
- old Scandinavian or American wooden houses
- smb drinking tea
- autumn nature or cozy autumn mood
- Pettson and Findus, Moomins
- bicycles and trams
- Christmas and New Year postcards in November - January (not folded)
- maxicards = postards with the same stamp and special mark

Anyway I'm not a fan of fandom, military, political, city view, fantasy, pin-up and ad postcard
