About Dani...

Hey guys!

I'm an absolute fanatic of postcards which is why I immediately signed up for my account on postcrossing.com when a good friend of mine told me about this real cool thing.

I ADORE postcards! I always remind my friends when going on holiday, school trip, weekend vacation or just visiting their grandma in another city not to forget sending me a postcard so I can add it to the wall in my room. A few years ago I started collecting and sticking all postcards I received (and still receive) to the wall on the opposite side of my bed. Now the wall's painting hardly can be seen anymore and it looks like a huge mess of all different colors and shapes - quite cool! ;)

Well, coming to the point, I'm so much looking forward to receiving various postcards from interesting people all around the world.

As it's a rather impossible thing to try guessing which types of postcards a totally unknown person might like, I'll give you some clues on my preferences:

I LIKE:
- postcards with only one impressive image on it
- uncommonly shaped postcards (extremely long, huge, circular...)
- exceptional/unusual motives
- landscapes
- something typical about the country/city/region/area the sender lives in
- funny & extraordinary postcards

SPECIAL MOTIVES that i like:
- coffee
- food
- sweets (cakes, muffins, jellies..)
- umbrellas
- retro style
- vintage
- handmade & selfmade cards
- old couple
- footsteps
- nature
- children
- black&white
- sepia
- birdview
- people
- toys (teddybear, toy car..)
- candle
- sunrise & sunset

I < DON'T > LIKE:
- typical tourist-postcards which show the beach / hotel / pool / most popular bar... of the holiday resort
- postcards with many small pictures on it which gives the impression that the designer wanted to put as many sights as possible on it (exception: if the pictures are unusual/funny/original. e.g.: I once received a postcard with loads of mini-pictures on it, each showing another typical dish of the country my friend was traveling through and I really love this one)
- postcards with pets and domestic or common animals (cat, dog, rat, horse...) exception: exotic animals or typical ones for the country the sender lives in

I think that will do!

Hope to receive mountains of postcards!

Hugs,
Elala
