About Ellen...

Hi, my name is Ellen. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. I love reading, stitching, music, movies, traveling and sending as well as receiving postcards. I have quite a lot of postcards collection, either the blank ones (that I got from traveling) or those which my friends sent me.

Random and unique pictures on postcards are welcome. I like:
- butterflies
- books or bookstore or library
- mailboxes and mails
- balloons or hot air balloons
- ballet dancers
- Johnny Depp
- fairies or angels
- Disney characters
- sweets or candies
- stamps
- maps
- musical instruments
- cups and teapots
- book covers or illustrations (The Little Prince, Peter Rabbit, Roald Dahl's books)
- candles
- drawing or painting or doodle
- classic or vintage
- movie posters
- natures, flowers, animals (polar bear, rabbit, penguin, panda, whale, dolphin, girrafe)
- cartoons
- funny or humorous
- wonderful quotes
- colorful cards
- any card from or similar to the ones on my favorite postcard wall

I would be happy to receive any postcards from your country. I like the postcards with picture of the landmarks or anything special or original from your country. Aside from those, I wouldn't mind any postcard you send me.

For me personally, the most exciting part about Postcrossing - aside from receiving a beautiful card - is when trying to find the card to send to someone. I always try to find something that will meet people's request. It feels so fun reading through their profile and checking their favorite cards then trying to choose a card that will make the recipient happy. Some people just have the very interesting requests that can't be found so easily but then I still try to find something that is closest to their expectation. I have been sending out some cards from my personal favorite card collection too that I know it would probably be hard to get them again. But really, that doesn't bother me at all. It just feels good when you know you will make someone smile out there. Anyway it is the beautiful thing about sending postcard, right? It's not only about the picture on the card, but also about sending heart-warming thoughts and love to many people around the world.

You can write me anything about you, your country, your culture, your favorite book, you can as well explain the pictures on the postcard, or you can simply say hi with some words in your native language (with translation of course). You can also draw something if you are good at it. Looking forward to exchanging postcards with you guys.

Please do not use envelope. I would like to see your handwriting, date and stamps on the card. Please do check my received postcards to avoid doubles. Thanks :)
