Hi, My name is Joke. I'm 24 years old and a university student in Psychology and Anthropology. My interests are travelling, upcycling and good food! :)

Ok, what else can I tell you about me? I did a six-month internship for my psychology studies in Cusco, Peru. There I mainly worked with children who live in underpriveliged areas. Living in Peru for 6 months has been a real eye-opening experience. Ever since I came back (which was 2 years ago) I still keep volunteering at a Belgian Ngo which supports the organisation I worked at in Peru.

Right now I'm in my final semester of anthropology. I'm currently writing my thesis on refugees in Belgium and the existing procedures concerning refugees. For this thesis I did three months of voluntary work at a Belgian refugee center.

As you can probably tell from these two experiences and my choice of studying anthropology, I'm really interested in different cultures and the interaction between different cultures. So I think this might be why I found the idea of postcrossing so interesting :p

I'm not a very difficult person, so I'll be happy with whatever you send me!
