Hello dear postcrossers,
my name is Dieter. Me and my wife live in Oldersum, a small village (about 1400 inhabitants)in Germany near the little cities of Leer and Emden. Here the Ems-river flows into the Northsea. Often we can see big passenger liners (AIDA Cruises, Cilibrity Cruises or Disney Cruises), when they were built up in Papenburg and then come down the Ems to go over the ocean.
My profession was teacher and headteacher in a primary-school. Now I am 65 years old and I have ended my job in 2009.
We enjoy to visit our children and our grandchildren in the southern region of Germany.
My hobby is collecting stamps and I enjoy to read crime-stories. Also I cooperate in social projects. So I read stories to children in a hospital or in old people´s home.
