Hi there! I'm Alina, living and studying in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Have you ever heard of Kazakhstan? If not, you should google it! Kazakhstan is an amazing country famous for its outstanding landscapes, great historic heritage and hospitality!

I'm totally in love with the idea of exchanging postcards because I believe it's much more than just cards. All of them are small pieces of people's lives (your life too, can you imagine?) from all over the world, their hobbies, desires and views on what's happening in their country and on world as a whole. I find it absolutely great and therefore I appreciate Postcrossing very much.

My greatest passion is travelling, thus any postcards with local views, landscapes, cities, historic places and any cultural features are my favourite ones. It will be nice if you can write something in your native language (with translation) or tell something about yourself and your country. If you hesitate what to write, I'm interested to know about a cherished dream of yours no matter if it came true or not. :)
Apart from these postcards, I would really love to receive:
- something connected with food (recipes, traditional food, coffee, candies etc)
- something connected with books (interesting book covers/bookmarks, books' collections, heroes, famous libraries etc)
- umbrellas! (I have a rainbow-colored and brilliant yellow, keen on any unusual ones)
- Street ART (Banksy, ROA etc)
- aircraft
- bicycles
- castles
- beautiful doors and windows
- extreme weather, rainy views, rainbows;
- dogs (especially big ones), blue whales, foxes, owls, raccoons and pandas; any cute or unusual animals are welcome!
- water (ocean views, seasides)
- the UK (scenery, cities&towns, national emblems&flags, celebrations, cuisine...anything! :)
- 'Keep calm and...' cards
- humoristic cards, cards with irony or jokes
- holiday related cards (the time the holiday is coming, if possible): Christmas, Haloween, Thanksgiving Day, St. Patrick's Day, День Победы, Labour Day, October Fest, any local carnivals and festivals!
- old-fashioned looking pictures of famous people, places etc
- Philip Pullman "His Dark Materials"
- Moomin, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Hobbit, Sherlock(BBC)
- Universe (stars, planets, spacecrafts etc)

Для посткроссеров из стран постсоветского пространства (optionally): что-нибудь, связанное с литературой (русская классическая литература в частности), фольклором и любыми направлениями народного творчества, либо связанное с удивительными географическими объектами, которые стоит посетить. I'll be really happy to receive handmade postcards or text postcards with a short story or poem you wrote by yourself or just your favourite ones, thought-provoking quotes, interesting facts (Did you know that...?), your favourite pastime (hobbies, sport), unusual things you have...so everything you think can be interesting or surprising.
