About Christine...

Hi,

thank you for reading my profile.

My name is Christine and I live in Burgundy, France, in a very rural area. Matter of fact, we do not even have neighbors, if you don't count the many Charolais Cows, living in the pastures all around us.

My mothers family comes from Poland and Czech Republic but I was born in Germany. My 3 children are grown up. My daughter lives in Hesse, Germany, one son lives close to the Black Forest and my youngest son lives in Italy at the moment, after 3 years in Alaska. He joined the Army and is a paratrooper. My two grandchildren, a girl and a boy, lve in Germany.

I have a degree in economics, but grew bored with it. Later I worked as an event organizer, a florist and in a store in Germany which sold deli food and drinks from all over the world and a big selection of cheese and wine. Now I am running a small campspace here in France and working on opening a B&B as well as a small gift store.

Some of my interests are history, archaeology, anthropology, photography, art, gardening, flowers, animals (I have dogs, cats, chicken, peacocks, fish and a donkey), crafting and crochet, cooking and baking, geocaching, reading, music, genealogy..., well, actually I always like to do or learn something new ;-)

I love the ocean, but live far away from it, so I do not get to see it often. I would like to travel to all kind of places, but since my family is scattered around the world, traveling is always connected with visiting them.

My favorites wall is not a wish list. Many of those cards I received. Sometimes I add a card I see somewhere here. But that dosn't neccesarily mean that I want it. I have different reasons to like a card. Maybe I loved what was written, or it reminded me on something, whatever...

Every postcard you want to send to me is fine. Let me see what you like, discover the world through your card and see it through your eyes.

All cards I ever received, sorted by country, you can se here:

For me the back of the card is very important. I would love to learn about you and your part of the world, hear how living there is like, your local recipe or what ever you would like to tell me.

I have a lot of fun trying to choose a card for the recipient and always hope that you will be happy to receive it. I could not say if it is more fun to send or to receive a card.

I am looking forward to our exchange!

Have a great day
Christine
