Hallo,
my name is Melanie. I am living in the town Salzgitter (100.000 inhabitants)/near Hannover. The town has 31 villages. I am living in the smallest one in a nice house with a green roof and lots of animals.
Life without animals? That's impossible !
These are:
my labrador retriever Pepper, 19 chicken (every hen has a name and will never ending in a cooking pot!), one budgies, three Bourke`s parakeets, 15 zebra finch and fishes.
The birds live together with 7 nice litle quails.

It's wonderful to help with little money.

Before chistmas I am packing two shoeboxes for the worldwide action "christmas in a shoebox" for poor children in children`s home without parents and family.

The most exciting moment is when postcrossing spits out a new address, where the next postcard is going. Is it a new unknown country, which city is in sight, what is the name of the person. It's a surprise every time!

The moment is just as exciting when I open the mailbox and take out the newly arrived postcards.
