Hi, postcrossers!
My name's Elvina (or Ellie) and I currently live in Samara, a relatively big Russian city on river Volga bank.
I'm not originally from Samara though, I only study here.
I study linguistics, as I'm passionate about languages (In fact, I started learning English in the first place, because I fell in love with Tom Felton in 8th grade). I study English and German at college and Spanish and Hindi as a hobby.
Another important part of my life is music - I mastered 3 instruments. I also like playing videogames when I have time!

I'd be glad to read about anything you've got to tell me. But if you're a little confused of what to write here are some ideas:
- words in your language that don't have equivalents in other languages (for example in Russian there's a word опохмелиться (opohmelit'sjaa) that means to drink a bit more on the day after you drank too much (close to the meaning of “hair of the dog” :D)
- first couple of things which come to your mind when you think about Russia (stereotypes are welcome!)
- any funny story from your childhood (we all have some)
- any recipe that you like

I'm not picky about postcards, but I especially enjoy the ones that somehow depict your culture. You can also leave a word or two written in your native language :)
