About June...

Currently the people sending postcards are my kids! Please send a postcard to June Wonnacott, age five, who loves to read, to write stories, and to play board games. She loves sushi and ice cream and lives with her mom (me), dad, big sister Emily, little brother Graham, and large orange dog Cato in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She loves to get mail and checks the mailbox every day. She hopes to get postcards from lots of different places around the world.

Thank you!

About me (Cat, the mom):

I'm a photographer and book editor with a passion for words, images, and travel. I live in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, with my husband, three kids, and our large orange dog. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit more than 25 countries.

I really like the idea of getting postcards from around the world. Any postcard would be great, but I don't really like Disney or other licensed characters. I'm a bit odd and I'd love to get odd or unusual postcards. Art cards, weird cards, photo postcards, cartoon postcards, funny postcards, quote postcards ... love 'em all! I'm pretty much unoffendable, so don't worry about that.

I'd love to learn a few words in different languages, so if you speak a language other than English or French, it would be wonderful if you could tell me a few words or a phrase in your language and what they mean in English!

I hope that if you're planning to send me a postcard you'll take a moment to write a little note about where you live or something about yourself. I enjoy learning about different people and places. I also love poetry -- if you have a favourite poem, it would be great if you wanted to share it with me! I can read English, French, and Latin, so if you share a poem in another language please tell me what it's about.

Thank you and happy Postcrossing!
