My name is Maciej. I live in Siedlce (a city about 100km from Warsaw, Mazowieckie Region). I am 14 years old. Like most of teenagers in Poland I like sport. My favourite sport is basketball. In my free time I also play computer games or hang on with my friends. I really enjoy it. I also read many books. My favourite book is "Krzyżacy" (in English: Crusaders). The author of this book is Henryk Sienkiewicz (the Polish Nobel Prize winner in 1905).

I am going to junior high school in Siedlce. I don't like going to school because I am very lazy, but I know if I won't go to school I won't have a good job. My favourite subjects are P.E. and History. I know many people said "History is boring", but I think History is fascinating. I also like Geography, but I hate Maths (the worst subject in the world, but unfortunately the most important). I am also very good at foreign languages, so I like them very much. I learn two foreign languages (English and German).

My hometown is not very big. It has recived city rights in 1547 year. Population at the moment is about 80,000 people. There are some nice monuments like a city hall or the catolic church of Saint Stanislaw (all from XVIII century). There are also two rivers: Muchawka and Helenka. There is also a nice park called "Aleksandria"...

I am really intrested in Geography, so I would like to get to know something about your town or your country, so please try to find a postcard with the picture of your town / country. I also would like to know how to say "Hello" or another important words in your language. Please write something about you in postcard, for example: what are your hobbies? or something like that...

If you won't find a postcard such as in description, don't be afraid, I will be happy if I got another one. Maybe that one will be better :).
