Hello, folks!

I am a graduate student in Vancouver, on the west coast of Canada, which means that I spend most of my time reading and writing in the windowless basement of my school library. In a nutshell, I'm researching about suffrage in Canadian print culture, although there's a lot of other things happening beside that general idea.

I just moved to Vancouver a couple of months ago, and I am very much in love with this place. I have never lived so close to the ocean, and I am very lucky to be able to walk to the beach and look out over the water and (on a clear day) out to the snow-covered mountains and beyond.

I've been active with Postcrossing before, however it has been several years since I have sent or received any cards. I am looking to get back into the swing of things because I love the connection that comes from sending and receiving little pieces of mail throughout the world. I am also a bit of a hoarder-- I mean, a collector-- of things. Mail makes my heart very happy.

The weirder or more unique the postcard, the better-- but it is by no means necessary!

I am a lover of stories, of curiosities, of nature and learning. I would love to hear a (small, postcard-sized) story from you, if you would like to share. Otherwise feel free to send me whatever you have-- I am not picky. :)
