Hello!

My name is Catherine.

I was born in the beautiful city of Almaty, Kazakhstan and lived there for 17 years. Then I moved to Russia, St. Petersburg and got a bachelor's degree in e-business. Now I am still living in here and getting a master's degree in innovation management.

Since childhood, my family and I have been traveling a lot. In addition to Kazakhstan and Russia, I have been to Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Egypt, Belarus, Turkey, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Liechtenstein, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. I was introduced to postcrossing by a wonderful family we met on one of our trips. I would like to see the whole world, and postcrossing gives me the opportunity to get to know different countries, cultures and people through postcards. I also enjoy collecting paper money and coins from all over the world.

I love animals very much, especially dogs. For as long as I can remember, someone has always lived at my house: dogs, cats, various parrots, guinea pigs, snails, once even a hedgehog and an owl.

I also love nature, especially mountains and seas, because most of my life I lived in the environment of mountains or rivers and seas. My favorite flowers are sunflowers. In the future, I would like to take up gardening.

In my free time, I study languages. I also play the piano. I don’t know musical notes, I study from video lessons, and it gives me great pleasure. Apart from classical music, I listen to completely different genres, and recently fell in love with the singer Stromae for his beautiful and powerful lyrics. My childhood dream remains to attend a One Direction's band concert or solo concerts of each of the singers of this band. If suddenly you manage to send a postcard with one of them, I will be in seventh heaven with happiness. I also love playing video games and watching true crime series. I read novels and sometimes draw. I want to try a lot of hobbies and learn something perfectly.

Teach me words in your language, tell me about the weather or your favorite book. Draw something or write a poem. Share your favorite movie or just about how you are doing right now. Thanks a lot!
