One of my missions in life is to spread breast cancer awareness. To all ladies out there, have yourselves screened and to all the gentlemen, encourage your mothers, wives, sisters, partners,and girlfriends to do the same. For women who are above 40, a yearly mammogram is obligatory. My cancer was detected through mammogram.

Being in remission did not stop me to enjoy the things that I love: reading books, surfing the net, trying new recipes, listening to music, singing, walking daily for 30 minutes, doing weekend Tai Chi exercises, line dancing, gardening, swimming,traveling, and collecting fridge magnets. Here's to life!!!

I am never afraid to try new things! I love the sea, beautiful beaches, flowers,enjoy love songs especially the evergreens, instrumental and country music [surprisingly at my age:-)] beautiful scenery, trees, mountains, volcanoes, the moon and most of all I dot on and adore my 9 active and brilliant grandchildren.

Am a retiree but still doing part time job teaching English...it's one of the loves of my life..I could not imagine life not working in the academic field:-)
