About Tara...

Hey there!

My name is Tara and I live in Fredericton, New Brunswick. I'm originally from the USA but met a cute, Canadian dude while playing video games online. I moved to Canada in 2018 to be with him.

My husband and I live with our Greyhound, Pistachio, in a home with a purple door. We mostly keep to ourselves; together we like to play video games, cook, rummage through thrift stores, watch trashy TV (heyo 90 Day Fiance!), take little road trips, and try new foods.

I've been snail mailing for over 20 years and it's my favourite hobby. I originally started sending mail to my AOL pals back in the early 2000s! Speaking of AOL, if you were active in the AOL zine scene, please let me know :)

I've always been into analog photography but don't take many photos these days due to the expense & inconvenience of developing film. My dream is to have my own darkroom. I love developing film and photos!

I'm also into mail art, collage and zines.

I keep every bit of mail that is sent to me and will cherish anything you want to send my way! If you need a little bit of encouragement, here are some things I love:
- purple
- pterodactyls (my nickname is TARAdactyl!)
- giraffes
- pandas
- tigers
- old buildings/architecture
- typewriters
- analog photography
- video games
- music

I'm always on the lookout for any weird, colourful or eccentric postcards.

Sharing music is my love language. I'd love to receive any music recommendations you have. I'm an avid Spotify user and playlist creator. My website links to monthly Spotify playlists I create. https://linktr.ee/dactyllife

Feel welcome to tell me random facts about yourself, what you ate for dinner, your favourite tv show/song/movie, what the weather is like, your favourite animal, your dream tattoo, a cherished memory, or simply nothing at all (well, make sure to include the Postcrossing ID)!
