Hello!

I am Moona, a 30-year-old Finnish language teacher living in a small village of Ivalo, Northern Lapland in Finland. I live in an old house with my fiancé and our two cats. We moved to Ivalo four years ago from a town in Central Finland, and it's felt like home ever since. I really enjoy the nature, of course, especially in spring when the snow is hard enough to carry, it's amazing to be able to just ski everywhere in the forests and swamps in the evening sun. But I also love the culture here - music, art and handicrafts of the Sámi people and other locals is abundant and there's a lot of events for every time of the year.

I love to travel as well, though lately mostly to Norway as the border is near. Right now I'm also planning an interrail trip through Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands to Hamburg, where I did my Erasmus exchange a couple of years back. I'd love to hear about locals' tips of cool places to visit in those places!

Besides nature, culture and travelling, I also like languages (I like to receive cards written in German, Swedish or Estonian - if I don't speak your language, maybe you can teach me some?), books (fantasy, scifi, period drama and classic detective stories), writing (poems, letters, short stories mostly), handicrafts (spinning, weaving, sewing and woodworking) and music (thrash and folk metal, indie rock, folk and jazz).

If you don't know what to write to me about, recommend me something! A book, a movie, a band, a recipe, a home organizing or cleaning tip even.
