About Annie...

I live in Kingston Ontario Canada, which is very beautiful and lively with a lot of dynamic and interesting people from all over the world.
I have lived in the UK, France and Mexico. My father is Canadian, but my mother was born in England and her mother was born in Hungary. My daughter is half-Mexican, my brother is married to a woman whose parents are Irish Catholic and Muslim-Jordanian--so we are a typical Canadian kind of family.
I am becoming a bit of a bird-nerd (I now carry my binoculars everywhere with me). I also love hiking, coffee shops, exploring, reading and playing the piano or violin--neither of which I do particularly well, but well enough for me.
I teach writing and communications at St. Lawrence College. I love my job though the students can be challenging.
I will accept any type of postcard that you think is interesting and worth sending. I signed up to this to learn about others and not collect anything specific. We all have things we prefer and enjoy, but to dictate what is acceptable in a postcard defeats the purpose of this postcrossing project. Please say something interesting--either personal or unique or something that represents your real, genuine self. Don't be afraid to share something that maybe a little personal or sad (or happy--either way, I don't mind); I am kind, non-judgmental, friendly, fun, and a writer, and value all these traits in others.
I am a roller derby referee, which I love, and I am a big Dr. Who fan...just in case anyone has any relevant cards, but really, anything is great. For me, the important thing is your story and interests.
