I work in an assisted living home that deals with Dementia and Alzheimer's. I joined to show postcards of other exciting places to the residents where I work. They don't get out much, and those who traveled a lot, it brings back precious memories that they may someday lose. Plus, who doesn't love getting mail that isn't junk? I'm an American although I now live in Germany.

Postcards I like:
Scenery from where you are from
Flags
Sports teams, esp. Soccer (male senior residents love soccer images)
Anything relating to your country
If you can't find any of the above:
Vintage black and white pictures (I also like sepia ones too)
Beach scenes
Things with proverbs

Please no postcards with:
Overtly religious stuff (A little religion does not offend me, but would prefer not to have it)
Postcards with advertisements
No pornographic pictures or WW2/War images (Please keep in mind I live in Germany. While some have come to peace with the past, some have not. Showing these images can bring up past fear for people with Dementia who have experienced the tragedies that come with war.)
No offensive language *****Please keep in mind, I plan on showing this to seniors! Keep your postcard in good taste. If you wouldn't show it to your grandma, I will not show it to my seniors*****

As a side note, if you could write my name in your language, that would be awesome :)
If you get stuck on what to write me, just tell me where you are from, what the weather is like where you are and a nice little sentence like, "I wish you a wonderful day or something." That will be enough.
