About Nikola...

Hi there,
my name is Nikola. I live in Würzburg, the capital of Lower Franconia (a part of Bavaria, South Germany), where I work at the Diocesan Library, a job I really love. I am very interested in local and foreign culture and history and I like visiting museums and exhibitions, photography, design, art, architecture, documentaries, walking in the countryside and enjoying the beauties of nature, travelling and knowing people from all over the world. Recently, I found a new passion in creating my own postcards. But don't worry, I have them printed professionally, so there is no difference in comparison to 'real' postcards. Furthermore, I am a real coffeeholic and a big fan of Postcrossing, of course... What a great project!

Besides, I love parrots and everything about language, writing, books & libraries. So, if you happen to have a postcard or stamp with one of these topics, you could make me very happy. But I am not picky at all - anything you want to send will be appreciated. Selfmade cards are welcome as well, I like them very much.

I would be pleased to learn something about the town or country you live in, for example some remarkable sites or typical customs. But you can also write about yourself, your everyday life or things you like, as, for example:
- your profession
- your family, friends, or maybe your pet
- what you like doing in your spare time (hobbies, interests)
- your favourite music, book, movie, poem, artwork, animal, colour or ... (and why you love it that much)
- a thing you are happy about or that makes you smile
- your life motto
- where you would like to travel someday, or other future plans, if you want to share them
- you can also draw something if you like
Just let your imagination run free, be creative, original and authentic... I like it when you express your personality through the card you send.

I speak German, English and French, but I also understand Italian and Spanish pretty well (so that you can use any of these languages, even Latin if you want). I'm very interested in foreign languages and scripts, so it would be wonderful if you would also write a few words in your native language (with translation please). Countries with different writing systems: I'd especially like to know how my name is written in your script.

Just surprise me - I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

See you, and Happy Postcrossing ♥
